Johnathan had a great time examining Pa-paw. He was especially interested in his teeth and kept putting his hands in Pa-paw's mouth. They bonded.
We met up with the Moran girls and Joy, Ava & Henry at Zilker park one beautiful day. We rode the train, played on the playground and flew kites. Somehow I didn't get pictures of any of that. But, I did get this one of the boys bunched up together. Will was drinking John's water and John was after a bag of chips over there by Matt.
After leaving the gym one morning the ducks were in the parking lot eager to make conversation. Luckily for them, Will didn't finish his cup of goldfish so the boys fed them right there by the car. Those are some friendly ducks. They hardly moved an inch when I backed out.
The weather that week was lovely, so we tried to enjoy as much outdoor time as possible. Matt rode infinite laps on the back patio.
Will had a ball in the sand box.
There was football played in the backyard. Lots of tackling.
While Steven was home one afternoon we explored a creek running by Spicewood Springs. The kids wanted their swimsuits on so they could splash around. They are dying to get themselves into some water and go swimming. Will mentions getting the backyard pool out at least once a week. They had a big time exploring the creek. We walked down and started poking around, and Steven found a frog. Will was clinging to Steven's leg, and I love Matt standing there with his hands on his hips--looks just like my mother. :)
Will quickly found a pair of sticks that he then carried with him, and they morphed from guns to lightsabers to swords to who-knows-what.
Matt found a particularly deep patch of water and camped out in it with a gigantic stick. Those two had a blast. Johnny finally got released from the Bjorn carrier and had fun crawling around and eating rocks.
Then there's this sweet moment when I discovered the two of them cuddled up next to each other reading books. Cuteness.
