I love having a house full of boys--and although it is loud, often smelly, and I repeat myself at least twice with anything I say, this is a blessed life and I am so thankful for it.

Playin'
During Will's naptime the other morning, Matthew and I had the chance to play together like old times. It really was fun, and he is such a sweet, happy little boy. We put together all his puzzles, bounced on his bed, played trains, read books, and played with blocks. He built this big tower and the blocks on the floor beside it are the river, he said. He was quite proud. I like the concentration on his face while he's microwaving me some soup. He told me to be careful because it was really hot. And then he made me some fish and even cut it up for me. Adorable.Yesterday was also our first experience with the public library. We have a brand new one that just opened up really close to us, and I've been anxious to go. I put Will in the sling and held Matt's hand and we waltzed in to find Ava all cuddled up next to Joy reading a book oh so peacefully. Matt was everywhere. Having never been to such a place he instinctly felt the need to explore. I tried to get him to slow down long enough to look at the books and pick one out to maybe read like the Rener girls were doing. No way. He then spotted the huge display of CD's and DVD's...and it was all I could do to prevent him from rearranging the whole thing. Meanwhile, Will spit up on me in the sling no less than 3 times. Ick. I felt like I was just chasing Matt in circles and constantly putting CD's back on the shelf. Will was getting antsy, and the Rener's were headed out so we quickly followed suit. After I filled out the paperwork for a library card, of course. Next time, I think I'll just take Matt. You should have seen us walking out. I've got Will in the sling, I'm dragging a very whiny Matt who was in no way ready to leave, I've got my purse in one hand and a stack of 6 books in the same hand. Not pretty. Just look at that big, brown-eyed boy! So cute I can't stand it. He's so talkative, too. I don't remember Matt doing that at all. That looks like a big ol' collar from the 70's doesn't it? Our little disco superstar!
